In order to maintain a cordial relationship between China and India, Last year, PM Modi had gone to China. Following that, Chinese President Xi JinPing had now come to India.
Around 1.30 PM, today, he had come from Beijing to Chennai Airport. Following Tamil tradition, he was given a full Kumbam respect and welcome.
Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Tamil Nadu CM EPS, Deputy CM OPS and other officials welcomed him. Later he saw the events arranged for him as a welcome in the airport.
He was then taken to ITC Grand Chola Hotel, where he stayed till 4 PM today. Then he went to Mahapallipuram by road. There, he was received by PM Modi who was wearing traditional vesti. He later explained about the various statues in the place.
